if you mean when does the mother get her milk, she gets it during pregnancy. it is made from parts of food that she digests and it will stay there until her kittens drink some. i would recommend feeding her extra because most food will be turned into milk and she wont get much nutrition. when she stops feeding them or they don't drink from her often, it will begin to dry up in her stomach. you will know that this is happening because when you feel her stomach, it will becoming hard and it will hurt the mother. they normally cry due to the pain and may have difficulty laying down.

Can you make a non pregnant dog lactate?

You cannot "make" a non-pregnant dog lactate, but intact female dogs will sometimes lactate. Dogs retain their corpus luteum, and sometimes have a "pseudo-pregnancy." Pregnancy in dogs cannot be determined by the fact that they are lactating for this reason.

Is sodium lactate the conjugate base of lactic acid?

Yes, sodium lactate is the conjugate base of lactic acid. When lactic acid (a weak acid) donates a proton (H⁺), it forms lactate, which is the conjugate base. Sodium lactate is the sodium salt of lactate, meaning it contains the lactate ion paired with sodium. Thus, it can act as a source of lactate in solution.

Which of the following are true about lactate dehydrogenase?

How many mEq in a mmolL in lactate?

To convert millimoles per liter (mmol/L) of lactate to milliequivalents per liter (mEq/L), you need to consider the charge of the lactate ion. Lactate (C3H5O3^-) has one negative charge, so 1 mmol/L of lactate is equivalent to 1 mEq/L. Therefore, the conversion is straightforward: 1 mmol/L of lactate equals 1 mEq/L of lactate.

Is L-lactate a chiral molecule?

Yes, L-lactate is a chiral molecule as it has a stereocenter at the carbon atom bound to the carboxyl group. It exists in two enantiomeric forms, L-lactate and D-lactate, which are non-superimposable mirror images of each other.
