They are alot of work, they must be kept warm and dry and socialized. no one wants dogs left at shelter because some one decided they were a breeder. Breeding to the proper male to promote your breed is very very important. You should not just pick a dog. Look at their paper work make sure it compliments yours. If you are looking into breeding to make money, You rarely do most of us just break even if you raise your puppies correctly you have alot of time wrapped up in your puppies and you would prolly make more flipping Hamburgers at MickyD's. If you are in it for love of the breed and understand how much money suppliments and extra's cost. Along with waking up sometimes every hour on the hour for a struggling puppy and that gives you joy.
