It is said that the only animal that outnumbers humans is the chicken. There are on average 19 billion chickens in the world, equaling out to be 3 chickens for every person. However, this is eliminating insects as an animal species. There are a number of insect species that outnumber humans.

The species that has more numbers then all the others put together plays a very important role in our ecosystem. The common insect; ants, bees, flies etc. have more numbers then all others combined, and there really is no way to know what that number might be.
