mutts
A Portuguese Water Dog is a Pedigree breed of very long standing, so therefore I would not descibe it as a mutt.
There is no specific definition for "grundgy mutt." It may be a made-up or slang term with no formal meaning.
clebs, cabot, chien
A Lhasa Apso and Poodle mix is most commonly called a Lhasa-Poo, which can also be spelt as Lhasapoo. Please note that the Lhasa-Poo is not a pedigree dog breed, but a designer dog, which is a crossbreed that is given a "breed" name just like a pedigree dog breed. Like all designer dogs, the Lhasa-Poo is not recognized by any reputable kennel clubs, such as the American Kennel Club (AKC), the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI) and the Kennel Club (KC).
You need to go to mathblaster.om and click on map then on park then you have a caterpillar to let it grow into a big mutt!
My mutt has no pedigree.
Now a days, pedigree dogs are dying horrible deaths. In the related links box below, I posted a documentary on pedigree dogs. Pitbulls on the other hand, doesn't have this genetic charasteristics. This is a mutt characteristic.
because they are a pedigree cross so they are not a mutt and there a designer dog
yes it is because it is a cross breed. but they are just as good as pedigree dogs!

It is a common practice in the pigeon racing community. Put a breed pair together on the nest and the other breeding pair in the other nest. When both pairs have the eggs, put the eggs from the pedigree pair into the mutt pair nest. Break the mutt pair eggs intermediate. The mutt pair will raise the babies of the pedigree pair and that pair would have egg again. You will have 4 babies from the same breeders.
A "pure breed" can not have non pedigree progenitors. A golden retriever is a pure breed. If your dog has ANY mixed parentage it is a "mutt" or "mongrel" and not a pedigree specimen.
A whippet is a classified, pedigree breed. (looks like a small greyhound) a lurcher is not a pedigree breed as lurcher's are a greyhound crossed with absolutely anything, seen as a mutt in some peoples eyes. the original lurcher was a briard Shepard dog crossed with a greyhound. hope this answers your question
No, dog shows judge how well a particular dog represents the "standard" for his breed. Since a mutt is not just one breed, he couldn't represent a breed. A mutt COULD be entered in a dog agility competition. These are timed-trials where dogs run through, under, around, over an obstacle course in the fastest time while following the trainer's commands about where to go. A dog does not need a pedigree to be in one of these competitions.
Nothing... It would never be classed as a pedigree dog - and therefore could not be registererd with the Kennel Club for breeding purposes. Any 'mixture' of two or more breeds is simply a 'mutt'.
