Well, I would say horses are definitely better than cars because for a start you can create a real loving bond and friendship with them. They have a heart and so they are alive and they have feelings. cars are very nice and I do like them but they are just not the same for me, lol that's just my view.
Yes, police men do sometimes use horses, but not as often as cars or motorcycles. Horses are used in places such as New York City, where the streets are narrow and cars would be ineffective in a traffic jam with a killer on the loose. So, police use horses to catch people on foot in busy areas or where cars can't move.
Astronauts can ride horses at night because their experience in space has no impact on their ability to ride horses on Earth. The two activities are unrelated, and astronauts can participate in regular activities like horseback riding when they are back on Earth.
People had to use horses to get around before because back about 100 years ago there wasn't any cars and because you can ride horses far distances people decided they were suitable as a form of transport and rode those instead of driving cars. And if you read something like half broke horses by jeannette walls you will find that the more cars came out the less and less horses were used.
Yes you can be around horses in shorts but it isn't a good idea to ride in shorts.
Since the Seminole Indians came from Cree, Creek and Cherokee, they were all very familiar with horses brought by the Spanish invaders. Of course some of them were able to train and ride horses. In the wetlands and swamps horses were of limited use and it depended upon where the Seminoles lived whether they used horses or not.
People still ride horses today.
They do both.
It means cool or awesome ride, like cars, horses, and so on.
In 1871, there were no cars. People walked, rode horses, or wagons with horses.
Um, they didn't. They had cars. Horses as a means of transportation in urban/suburban areas were long gone by the 1930's.

If you are Amish or marry into a Amish family their only transportation is either walking or using horses (riding or using carts)
Because it serves our needs for transportation, recreation, and a place to store a lot of stuff that we like to take with us when we travel. 100 years ago, horses were the standard method of transportation. Motor cars were just catching on and becoming popular. Cars replaced horses because cars were faster, carried more cargo, and were often more comfortable to ride. Eventually cars became cheaper to own and use than horses, too. One day something better will come along and it will replace cars that run on internal combustion engines.
You still can but not as harshly as other horses. It really depends on how bad it is or where it is in the horse. Your vet can determine better how much or hard you can ride him/her better than me! Hope this helps!
yes Miley Cyrus does ride horses
