=for double barking=
It becomes a misdemeanor on the second offense I believe. My family payed a fine on the first offense for our dog running away, and on the second offense we were summoned to court. I was charged with a class C Misdemeanor K9 at large offense.

We the People With Gloria Allred - 2011 Dog Gone Too Far Jay Walking Ticket 1-107 was released on: USA: 24 November 2011
You shouldn't have got put in jail, they should have got a ticket because they're dog was wild and out of their reach.
Oh, dude, the dog probably got a ticket for barking up the wrong tree or maybe for not having a "license to woof." Like, who knows, maybe he was speeding in a "fetch zone." But hey, at least he can use the ticket as a chew toy, right?
What's to fight? If the law requires a dog be on a leash, the time of day doesn't matter. i have always follow the regulations. There is no dog park nor dog run in near by the playground. so where can my dog run to stretch her legs. When i used to live in Manhattan i never got fine. i always curb my dog and walked her in park where she can run before 9 am. what i don't understand is that i picked a time when absolutely no one is outside. it would be fair if there is a place for my poodle to run and stretch. i would gladly pay the ticket.
It depends on local laws and ordinances. You may get a ticket, your dog may be held in quarantine, or your may just get a warning. In some areas, your dog may be confiscated. Call your local animal control and ask them; they should know your local laws.

Usually it depends on the size of the dog. If its a small breed than no, you have to talk to the airline, (you have to have the dog in a cage) and tell them the situation. Most airlines allow animals where passengers sit, but you have to buy the dog a ticket If it is a big dog then, yes, you do have to put the dog below and the dog has to be in a cage/airline approved pet carrier. In Addition: If you are traveling to another country that requires animals to be quarantined, then yes, the dog will have to travel in quarantine.
