animals act frisky and nervous when the weather changes for example before earthquakes ( or hurricanes, tornadoes, etc ) you might notice your pet acting weird, abnormal, or hipper, not its normal self. this is because animals can sense the decrease in air pressure.

Animals sense the changes in many different ways, and are innately trying to prepare, make survival more likely, and sometimes to warn others around. Many animals have been shown to be extremely in tune with the weather and other characteristics of the earth that elude us, and we are just beginnig to understand them (at least modernly). We may have some of these abilities as well, it just seems to be not well understood at the moment. A great example of this is before the recent tsunami hit in Asia those who worked with animals for their livelihood or happened to be around them noticed that the animals were all acting strangely, well before you would have seen anything, and some people were clever enough to understand and get to safer ground before it hit. I hope there is or will be more research into this, it's very interesting.
