By swallowing the fishes head first the bird is actually making it easier to swallow. If it were to go down tail first the scales on the fish would cut and dig in the birds throat and possibly choke the bird to death.
b/c if they came from the side the fish would see them and it is also much quicker.
... It's probably a kingfisher ....

Fins of underwater animals are streamlined to make them glide through the water more easily, e.g. dolphins. Other animals include birds, whose beaks are at the front so they can too.
webbed feet for swimming in the water and long beaks for catching fish.
Penguins are birds, that just happen to live in water. Birds have lungs, not gills.
Minnows in standing water typically come from birds. Birds pick up the minnows and, in their attempt to carry or eat them, inadvertently drop them.
A bird of prey will have the same general habitat as it's prey. Birds that prey on fish will live near the streams, lakes, or oceans where the fish live. Birds that prey on mice will live in areas with some trees but lots of open spaces like fields and prairies where the mice like to live. Birds that prey on rabbits will share the rabbit habitat - and so forth. The only areas where birds of prey don't seem to be common are arctic areas where there are few land animals and ice covers the water - unless you consider penguins to be birds of prey and even they require enough open water to be able to surface after catching fish.
Many birds (Cormorants, Loons, Grebes, pelicans) swoop down and/or dive to catch fish, but few birds pull fish from the water like an eagle. The Osprey is capable of swooping down & catching fish like an eagle.

No, when hunting for fish, they hover above the pond, then swoop in to pick them up out of the water

The tool used to tap the tree for water in Catching Fire is called a spile.
No..They are birds, and birds don't live in water._____________________________Eagles are large birds; they primarily live in the air. Eagles nest in tall trees, on the edges of cliffs or on tall buildings.Eagles are excellent fishers; they can see fish swimming in the lakes and rivers below them, swoop down and capture the fish in their talons. Occasionally, they misjudge the distance and hit the water. In this case, if uninjured, the eagle is capable of taking off from the water.

A Water Bird, is a bird that usually fly around the water, and they eat the fish when they catch it straight from the ocean, lake, or river. And Dragonfly is a lot smaller and they do not, eat fish from the ocean, lake or river. They just fly around the lakes and rivers and mate with each other and usually eat like flies, mosquitoes.
