If a cat has been taken to the vet to be altered or have stitches etc., other cats dislike the smell of the chemicals and view the cat as an outsider.

How do you integrate a new cat into the house already having 2 cats?

Go very, very slowly - cats are quite territorial and won't accept any newcomers forced upon them. Start by keeping the new cat in one room with its own litter box and food/water dishes. Let the other cats wander up to the door and get used to the scent of the new cat. This may take a couple of weeks. When the two cats aren't hissing outside the door to where the new cat is, lock up the two cats and let the new cat wander around the house a bit. Put the new cat back into its room then let the other two cats back out; they will investigate the scent of the new cat. Repeat daily until the two cats aren't so interested in figuring out where the new cat went - this may take a couple of weeks or more. When they are all used to the scent of each other, put everyone in cat carriers and let them see each other. You'll eventually work up to letting first the new cat out of the carrier, then letting the two cats out of their carries while the new cat is in its carrier, then letting them all out together. They should be supervised closely until they have all accepted each other.

What do you do when you have a new kitten brought into the house and the other cats get jealous?

the answer is a bit complicated. these two things simultaneously: 1. SEPARATE your older cats need a proof that they still matter. The new kitten should sleep and eat apart of them. The places where they are 'the boss' should for start stay reserved just for the older cats. 2. Bring together pet them together. take both cats into your lap and pet them. if your older cat gets agressive, turn from it (not for weeks, for a minute or so) and just pet the other cat. Also pet your older cats on these 'premier' places where they like to sleep, and show them that your affection is not becoming smaller. The new kitten will be fine with a little less attention, don't you care about that. What matters now is to form a healthy cat household.

Why do cats run away when you move to a new home?

Cats are territorial animals and feel safest in familiar environments. Moving to a new home can be stressful for them because they need time to adjust to the new surroundings and scents. Running away may be their way of seeking out familiar scents or finding a safe hiding spot until they feel comfortable.

Do cats like sharing their beds with other cats?

to me, it will depend on the gender. For example, if 2 male cats shared a bed, it wouldn't go well.... Unless they knew each other before hand. Also, if u got a new cat, and you already have a cat, it wouldn't work well with sharing beds since the cat that already lives there is the alpha male to the new cat.

I have a Male cat and i am going to get a new female kitten will they get along together?

As long as both cats are spayed it will most likely be fine. I work at an animal shelter. Some cats just dont like other cats. I suggest introducing them slowly. The worst combo with cats is actually all girls.

What causes chemical and physical changes?

Chemical changes occur when substances react with each other to form new substances with different properties. Physical changes, on the other hand, involve alterations in the state or appearance of a substance without changing its chemical composition. Both types of changes are driven by factors like temperature, pressure, and exposure to other substances.
