yes ... that's the way you get baby ducks. The different breeds of ducks are pretty distinct. That's what all the pretty plumage is about. It makes sure that the separate breeds don't inter-breed. Muscovy ducks and Roan ducks can inter-breed but the offspring will be infertile. We have a batch of ducklings that hatched on Wednesday. Six of them are pure Pekins; the Aflac duck. The Pekin hen also mated with Mallards and has five crossbred as a result. The coloration is incredible and hard to describe. Yes, some species of owls do eat ducks. Owls are opportunistic predators and will hunt various types of small animals, including ducks, if they have the chance. Ducks may be part of an owl's diet, particularly for larger owl species.
We have 5 cats which live at our stables, and while they will attack our lovley doves at any time, they sit in with our ducks and just watch them. Mark & Deb

Yes, ducks are omnivores and they do eat worms along with a variety of other insects and small invertebrates. Worms provide ducks with a source of protein and nutrients in their diet.
Ducks can typically get along with other waterfowl species such as geese, swans, and other ducks. They can also coexist peacefully with other poultry like chickens and turkeys as long as there is enough space and resources for all the animals. It is essential to introduce new animals slowly and carefully to avoid any potential conflicts.
