They are getting stressed... they dont like it when you give them a bath and if you washed them with cold water then that explains everything... You must NEVER wash a hamster with cold water... they get sireously stressed and cold and they could die x(
Nothing. Hamsters always clean and itch themselves. They just have a tendency to do that, my hamster does that. Hope I helped =)
If your hamster is bitten by a cat, it's important to seek veterinary care immediately. The wound may require cleaning, antibiotics to prevent infection, and pain management for the hamster. Keep the hamster in a safe, quiet environment during recovery.
It is not recommended to bathe a hamster because they are capable of cleaning themselves. If you must clean a hamster, only dampen a cloth and spot clean areas while avoiding getting the hamster's tail wet, as this can cause discomfort and stress to the hamster.
Usually the hamster is cleaning its leg....cuzz i have 2 hamsters and 1 hamster always bites on the other one while its asleep, they are not fighting they are cleaning !!! but if the hamster bites through its leg and there's a red part you should take it too the vet
Some hamsters find it extremely interesting to see itself in a mirror. Some hamsters do think it is another hamster they are seeing, but get confused on how to reach them. Or your hamster may just like the edges and want to eat it.
If you can tell what your hamster looks like when it is cleaning itself you will be able to tell if it has fleas because it will be scratching itself more than you have ever seen it do.

cleaning its cage
No it will not. And you need to treat it immediately by a visit to the vet for proper antibiotics. Keep the hamster dry, warm, hydrated and unstressed but the vet visit is essential.
no it is not sick it is in heat It maybe that it has given itself a nip, when it was cleaning itself; but to be on the safe side give the veterinarian a call, I had one that had a prolapsed womb, they do not bleed when on heat.
If you have a short haired hamster like a Syrian then it cleans itself. If your hamster is long haired then you have to brush it depending on the length and thickness of its hair. Never bathe your hamster, they hate water and lick themselves to keep clean anyway.
its recommended to put him into a hamster ball. just make sure its safe and keep an eye on it. best to shut all the doors to make sure you don't loose it and cover the spaces that it can get into up.
You should put your hamster in a safe place, or have someone else hold it for you. If you have a hamster ball, let your hamster exercise in that while cleaning out it's bedding.
You can't.
To let it out of its cage regularly. Let it roam the house for a bit and keep cleaning its cage regularly. Small roller skates may also help!!
The hamster gets more exercise because he is pushing a ball. Plus it is easier to catch than the hamster itself.
