AnswerBecause you're squishy and comfortable and your cat loves you. This is an affectionate trait of your cat. Your cat is relaxed and shows it. Hurts doesn't it? LOL Funny, but not true. When cats are new born, and through out the time they drink milk from there mothers; they do the action of pawing to help get milk out. So when cats do that as adults whether its on your stomach or the couch, their regressing. Now I'm no expert but I'm guessing they do it when they feel safe or comfortable.
