It quite possibly is because when you are not doing well in one area, a domino effect occurs and other things begin to slide. Take some time to figure out what is the biggest problem and get to work on resolving it--the rest will follow. Making yourself do things that are not easy or convenient is a habit that you build by doing.
If school work is an issue, get help and do the work you need to catch up. Believe it or not, keeping up your work is a lot easier than suffering the results of failing everything. If your personal life is out of balance (ie you are always tired), drop a few balls and get proper sleep, food and exercise for a few weeks while you regroup.
