Mostly, in the North, they believed that once a state joined the Union, you cannot unjoin. But the South believed they had the right to join and unjoin. So as they call it, a Civil war, many say it was a civil war. But what really makes up a civil war? A civil war is one country into its half, and both halves are fighting each other. The South seceded from the Union, it was no longer part of the Union. But why is seceding a bad idea? Those that secede do need to understand that after seceding, they will NOT get support from the government(D.C), they won't get money for education, defense, protection, health, safety, food, and social services.
