Out of 16 hrs. cats get about 5 hrs. of sleep. That isn't much of a nighttime sleep. Think of sleeping 5 hrs before getting up and staying up for a long time.
It wouldn't be comfortable. You'd be really tired, and need to take a lot of naps during that time. Right?
~have a blessed day~
Normally cats will sleep anywhere from 12 to 16 hours a day. They are mostly active at night. A cats body temperature is normally 100.5 to 102.0. If they feel hot to you check there temperature rectally with a lubed thermometer if it's above 102.0 you should take your cat to the vet.
I'm sure they don't seem weird to the cat. Cat psychology is not the same as human psychology.
'with two kittens' describe the cat. So, you should write 'is sleeping'. But if you mean that all three of them are sleeping, write 'A cat and his two kittens are sleeping'.
Cats aren't responsive to much during the day. Usually they spend most of the day sleeping. At night is when a cat really comes into it's being. My cat does the same thing. She doesn't want to be held, or petted, but at night she is curled up against me while I am sleeping and purrs all the time. Cats just are nightime critters.

Hamsters are nocturnal so, yes. They do sleep a LOT. I had a hamster once and he was sleeping 65%. Hamsters wake up around 4o'clock and will bite until about 5'clock.
The phrase, "A sleeping cat cannot catch a rat" is a proverb. I means that if someone is not paying attention then they will miss an opportunity.

They act normal, except they sleep a lot more than usual. My old cat had 5 litters of kittens, and everytime I walked outside while she was pregnant, she was always sleeping.
The personal pronouns that take the place of the plural noun 'cats' are they as a subject and them as an object in a sentence.Examples:My cats are sisters. They came from the shelter together. My cats are sisters. I got them together from the shelter.
Your own question is a sentence with the word "agreement" in it. But you are probably asking about "grammatical agreement", otherwise known as "concord". It means that a singular form of a verb must be used with a singular noun. We say "the cat is sleeping" (one cat = singular). But "the cats ARE sleeping" (two or more cats = plural) The singular verb "is sleeping" must agree with the singular noun "cat". The plural verb "are sleeping" must agree with the plural noun "cats". When nouns and verbs are not in agreement, the sentence is grammatically wrong: for example "the cat are sleeping" or "the cats is sleeping".
The cat was sleeping peacefully by the fire.
