They are hard to train because they have bladder problems and bark a lot they are sometimes very hard to control but I love them I have one named Ginger!
People call dachshunds weenie or sausage dogs due to their long body shape resembling a sausage or hot dog. This nickname highlights their unique appearance and has become a popular way to affectionately refer to the breed.
Dachshunds are playful and sociable by nature, so they generally do not have specific natural enemies. However, they may have conflicts with larger animals or animals with aggressive tendencies, such as foxes or coyotes, in certain circumstances.
Yes, they do, especially in summer months. I have two Miniature Longhaired Dachshunds and they shed quite alot unless you brush them frequently.
No way! This is just a stereotype you've heard. My dachshund is the love of my life, the sweetest dog on the planet. And a coward, haha. Dachshunds are very loving pets. They can be defensive of their owners if they feel extremely threatened. Even then I wouldn't call them vicious. They do what any other dog would do: bark. I call them normal.
I Bought 2 puppies From Down Home Dachshunds. My dad also bought one for my mom. We love our babies and would not trade them for the world. They were obviously raised with much love.
Yes, Weiner Dogs (Dachshunds) are active and stubborn and hard to train.
A dachshund can be used as a service dog, only it may be difficult to train it because dachshunds are very stubborn.
slap them till they learn lol not just teach them where to go
Russians are born winners and they will train so hard to be the best. If they are good at a sport they will train very hard in it.
they are not hard to train at all because I am nice to them and take care and I have fun with them. it will be easier to train them if you are nice to them. I should know because I have one.

You have to show who is boss from an early age (i.e. when the are a young pup)they are hard to train if they get in to bad habits from a young age. You have to be firm but fair. so 'hard' to train well they are only hard to train if you let them.
I have a dachshund myself to train them its hard but fun! you HAVE to be aware of their spines though some dachshunds need operations to fix their spines but as long as your careful it will be fine some dachshunds are quick and easy to train but some just don't understand with a Young puppy don't train it until after a week since its been at home other than that you don't want to leave it to late or your dog just wont understand in the first week you have your new puppy toilet train it buy some puppy pee mats from a pet shop and then it should understand how to go after that week start taking outside in your garden then teach it to sit and stay I hope Ive helped!
yes they can be very hard to train!!!!!
Yes they are very intellegent. I have two and they are pretty easy to train.
As in, falling from the sky and jumping in puddles and going swimming? If so, that depends on your Dachshund. Some like it, some don't. My Dachshunds don't like bring rained on. To drink, then yes, all Dachshunds will like water.
