== == Chemical waste does not get filtered out by the waste plants. Solid waste is cleared out through a variety of treatments, but water treatment facilities do not treat for chemicals.

Most treatment plants dump this water back into a natural water source, where chemical remains can damage the ecosystems.

In some parts of the world (Singapore being a common reference), the treated water is redistributed for drinking and other uses, so the chemicals then enter the bodies of humans. There are few places around the world that use this method, but the ones that do do so for lack of a better source.

You shoud be careful on what you put down the sink because if you put something to big down the drain it can get stuck.

Solid waste clogs drains, and will ultimately just cause your sink to get backed up. The water will no longer be able to go through the pipes and thus simply just build up in your sink. This can be remedied easily with some drain-cleaner, a plunger or something of the sort.

Heavy metals are metallic chemical elements that are relatively dense and is poisonous or toxic at low concentrations. Mercury, cadmium, arsenic, chromium, and thallium are examples of heavy metals. We should avoid pouring heavy metals down the drain because they contain poisonous and toxic reactants. These heavy metals could lead to sickness or diseases if someone were to ingest it. Some heavy metals like mercury can clog your Plumbing and pollute your septic or sewer system. There are ways to safely dispose heavy metals instead of pouring them down the drain. Not following these safety precautions could cause serious problems for other people including yourself.

How do you unclog a sink drain?

This method worked quite well on our sink. Put baking soda around the sink hole (it should clump up and slightly go down the drain). Then add a bit of white vinegar and flush around the sink. It should bubble and your sink should be unclogged. If it didn't work you can repeat till it's unclogged.
