I too have a cat that was spayed and has gone into heat. One doctor suggested all of the reproductive tissue wasn't removed.

My Molly was spayed 3 times! I went to a vet that was highly recommended. Molly was spayed and we thought all was well until the "season" came and she began to act like she was in heat. By this time the vet we had left his practice and we have a fantastic vet now. She operated on our poor Molly the 2nd time and removed one ovary that was not removed properly. She tried her best to be sure the other ovary that had been removed had been done right and that not one bit of tissue was left. Poor Molly came home for the second time and again she went into heat. This time our new vet had to do an exploratory on her and found one tiny piece of tissue left. Finally! Our little Molly is just fine now. In fact, she is in the Canadian Veterinary Medical Journal.

What breed of dog do you need?

It really depends on What you like. For a person who isn't able to take a dog on walks a lot i think you would like a Shi Tzu or Yorkshire Terrier. For a person who is able to run with a dog daily i think you would like a Labrador or Dalmation. For a person who is wants to have a show dog i think you would like a Poodle. For a person who can walk a dog every now and then i think you would like a Dachshund. For a person who wants a very smart dog i think you would like a border collie. For a person who wants a sheep-herding dog i think you would like a border collie. I hope this helped you.

Can you breed 2 dogs from the same father?

It wouldn't be smart because if the have the same father( brother and sister) they would be more likely to have mutations or serious health problems. Like when you breed brother and sister cats they have double paws. I would ask a vet or animal specialest. That would be your best bet.

What is the best breed of dog for a stoner?

A laid-back breed like a Golden Retriever or a Labrador Retriever would likely be a good fit for a stoner. These breeds generally have easygoing temperaments and are known for being affectionate and friendly companions.

Do spayed rabbits have false pregnancies?

Spayed rabbits can occasionally have the symptoms of a false pregnancy and begin nesting behaviors. As long as this is not prolonged or too intense it is nothing to worry about. Try to distract your rabbit with toys, give her other things to play with and do.

Would it hurt a 11 year old dog to get her spayed?

it IS surgery after all. It's not like the dog wouldn't notice. But if the vet does its job properly it should be only minor discomfort which buys the dog a longer, healthier Life and the owners less trouble.

How can you tell if a cat is spayed?

You can tell if a cat is spayed by looking for a small incision scar on her abdomen, or by checking for a tattoo or microchip that indicates she has been spayed. Additionally, a spayed cat will not go into heat or exhibit behaviors like yowling or spraying.

Do female English mastiffes get along with female pomeranians?

Having two females (no matter the breed) is often more problematic than having two neutered males, or a neutered male and a spayed female. Female dogs, even spayed females often have serious aggression issues when they are in the same home. With a dog as large as a Mastiff, a small dog like a Pomeranian could easily be killed. Constant supervision would be required.

Is it possible for a dog to be preg when its spayed?

The question is unclear. 1) a dog that's spayed can't get pregnant. 2) spaying a dog that is already pregnant would also mean performing an abortion. Don't think a veterinarian would like that much unless very early in the pregnancy

I assume you mean neutered or spayed. I would name it based on the gender it was born with, or with a non-gender specific name, like "Fuzzball".

Can Beagles breed with Puggles?

Any intact dog (not spayed or neutered) can breed with any other dog, no matter the breed. "Puggles" are not a dog breed, rather they are a popular cross between a Beagle and a Pug. Because Puggles are not a breed, there isn't a standard description of what a Puggle will look like, or what size it might be. Because of this, if the dog favors it's Pug heritage more than it's Beagle side, delivering a litter of puppies may be complicated, expensive, and possibly life threatening. If you are considering breeding a female Puggle, you should have her examined by your vet who can inform you if breeding her would require a c-section to deliver her pups.
