Covering your eyes for fifteen to twenty minutes before going out into the dark does help to set your night vision.

If I come down at 2 am they are awake, if I am around at 2p, they are awake. soooooo can rats see in the dark. Will tell you tomorrow cos now they are in the dark and I have left new toys around their cage to play with, and they haven't seen them in daylight. If they are moved tomorrow morning I guess they can see in the dark. They have an enormous cage so it can't all be by accident
