My yorkie is 2 and just had his first case of a "hot spot". In less than 24 hours he chewed himself raw on the underside of his tail and his hind leg. I had no idea what to do. He would not stop biting and he was very stressed and unahppy. I called the vet and was told I could give him 5mg of benedryl per pound. It helped a little. The next day I took him in and it was diagnosed as a hot spot. The vet shaved the area to help with itching and gave him a shot of cortezone. Then he gave me 3 medicines for him: an anti-itching spray, a liquid steroid, and an antibiotic. Hot spots must be treated by your vet or they will spread. They also squeezed his anal glands to make sure there wasn't further irritation. It ran about $130 and well worth it. Type your answer here...
It may have fleas that cause hard scratching to cause raw spots.
A male Yorkie should be at least a year old to start breeding, and it's better to wait until he is closer to two. This gives him time to mature and allows you to make sure he does not develop any genetic faults that he might pass on to his puppies.
not really old
A month old puppy is not weined yet. He still needs his mothers milk.

Yes, i have a five month old yorkie and when he is wide awake and in his crate. he will whelp because he wants to come out and play.
Your 9 month old yorkie shouldnt be having puppies, she is a puppy herself! That's like getting a 6 year old child pregnant! She's not ready for it, learn how to look after your animals properly!
Yes; hot spots are huge columns of hot mantle material rising from a great depth. New volcanoes form and old volcanoes become extinct as plates move over the hot spots.
A yorkie with a sprained leg needs to be seen by a veterinarian. A vet may choose to splint the leg, prescribe anti-inflammatories, or both in an attempt to treat the injury.
Her yorkie is 3 years old, and he name is Roadie, or something like that. But she is really cute.
Yes they can because its best to be 9 than 8 and there easy to take care of.

A one month old yorkie should have about 1/4 cup of dog food. Some yorkies don't eat very much in the beginning so although you give them that much doesn't mean they are going to eat all of it.

It varies, but they appear to last millions to tens of millions of years. The Hawaii hot spot is at least 80 million years old.
