I am working on one right now, remove spark plug of cylinder #1, you can use a screw drive and insert it into the spark plug hole. Make sure that the cylinder goes all the way up, you can turn the crank shaft slightly until the piston is at the top dead center. You will have 2 slots behind the camshaft you can use a ruler as long as it fills the slots, you will align them together using the surface of the cylinder head as alignment also just so you can make sure that the cams are on time make sure that cylinder number ones intake and exhaust valves are closed. This will make cylinder number one on a compression stroke, and ready to fire. that should cove the crank and cam timing. correct me if I'm wrong or am missing something. Thank you!
cam slots need to be lined up.then crank pully key way way on top cener
