we also just had that problem...if you have changed your brakes lately ...you likely pinched the wire ...take you front wheels off and check the wires....that fixed it for us...good luck...
the only engine that comes in the venture vans is the 3400 (3.4L) GM V6
it is DEAD . That's quite an old car, you must expect problems.
No, it comes on for an issue that causes an increase in emissions. See related question below.
i have replaced the plugs and wires and my service engine light comes again in 2004 land rover discovery
Underneath the van, in the area where the exhaust pipe comes from the engine. Number 5 is on driver's side, followed by 3 then
if you lose ovverdrive and cruise control, check engine light comes on, its the TPS working intermittenly
there is a bleed screw on top of the engine, follow the radiator hose to the thermostat housing and loosen it until liquid comes out. Sometimes you have to warm up the engine or let it run while doing it.
I have Chevy Venture too. Engine service soon sign will definitely bring some troubles later related to Engine heatup specially in summser season. Right away go for the engine tune up which is not cheaper than later you are gonna pay after your engine will heatup and cease. Change all the filters with oil channge and specially throw out the plugs it already had and change it with new Bostch plugs to have better performance. Overall Chevey Venture is a fabulous van I have ever driven or seen before.
When the check engine light comes on it should post a code. Use a code reader to see what the code is and ask again.
The check engine light only comes on if there's a problem with suction (i.e. you filled the gas tank with the car running or left the gas cap open and drove. You can't reset it, you have to unhook the battery. If it comes on again, unhook the battery again. If it comes on a 3rd time, I'd see the dealer.
can mean a lot of things but first thing that comes to mind is recycling turning unused old things into something that can be used again
THE BRAKE LIGHT IS LOCATED BELOW THE DASH. LOCATE THE ARM HOLDING THE BRAKE PEDAL AND YOU WILL SEE A SWITCH THAT COMES OUT WHEN THE PEDAL IS DEPRESSED TURNING THE LIGHT ON. WHEN THE BRAKE IS RELEASED THE SWITCH DEPRESSES AGAIN TURNING THE LIGHT OFF.
