You cant,Replace it if that is your problem,Its all in the computer network and cannot be removed.it tells the computer where the throttle is so it can deliver the correct air and fuel to the combustion chambers.....
The problem might be your tps (Throttle position sensor) my buddy had the same problem with his car and that's what was causing the problem.
A bad throttle sensor can cause engine jerking and rough running. A test of the computer codes should show if there seems to be a problem with the sensor.
Problem with the electronics of the transmission. Take it to a professional. Has the TPS (throttle position sensor) been replaced? If so, this will happen 100% of the time after a short amount of miles & you have to reset the transmission to the new sensor.
YOU MIGHT LOOK UP SERVICE BULLETINS FOR THIS VEHICLE -I BELIEVE THERE IS A ONE OUT FOR THIS PROBLEM-IF MEMORY SERVS ME RIGHT IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE VOLTAGE REGULATOR IN THE ALTERNATOR
if the vehicle will start but only when the throttle is almost all the way open it could be the iac motor on the throttle body . look in a manual and you will see where it is 5 minutes to pull out and clean and the engine will run perfect
The engine computer has detected a problem with the elctronic throttle system It will have set a code.
The EPC (Electronic Pedal Control) is the "fly by wire" system that controls the throttle, it took the place of the cable that went from the gas pedal to the throttle body on VW. If this light is on and there is also a P0102, MAF (Mass Air Flow) related code stored in the vehicle's computer, the EPC may be caused indirectly from a faulty MAF. If the EPC is on and there is no other codes stored, it could be a faulty electronic throttle body or need to be re-programmed. The vehicle's computer must recognoze the throttle body so when replacing it with new or used it will need to be programmed at the dealer. Recently I replaced a MAF (a common problem on VW's) on a VW Golf and when I cleared the code the EPC went off as well.

If a 1998 Oldsmobile 88 is shutting down after being driven for a while, the vehicle may have a problem with the computer. Something is telling the computer that the vehicle needs to be shut off. A new computer might fix this problem.
It could be the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) is bad. Get a Chilton or Haynes Manual for your vehicle from your local public library and learn how to manually retrieve and translate the computer's troubleshooting codes. If the problem is the TPS, the manual will also have instructions on where to locate it and how to change it. It's a fairly simple procedure to do the job.
If you are referring to fault codes stored by the ECU (computer), they are codes indication what part of the vehicle has a problem and what part is being effected by the problem. It can be an emissions problem, transmission problem, or other problem.
