What would you like to do?
Im 36 weeks and 1 cm dilated my doctor thinks ill go into labor within the next 2weeks if that. how accurate can she be about that you have also already had preterm labor but they stopped it?
Answer eeh.. my doctor said the same thing when i was pregnant with my daughter. I went into preterm at 26 weeks, they stopped it, then at 36 weeks i starte…d dialating. i was 50% and 1 cm.but i stayed that way from 36 weeks to 41.1 weeks.good luck :O)
What does it mean if you have already lost your plug and you are 40 weeks and you get blood and have been having false labor for a week?
Answer You are getting ready to have your baby!
When you are 38 weeks and 1Cm dilated having horrible back and leg pains and also having menstrual cramps is this a sign of labor coming soon?
In labourBack pain - particularly lower back pain can definitely be an indicator of labour onset. Labor pains are exactly the same as menstrual cramps, so you may be going int…o labor. Unfortunately they may die away and come back later, it is very frustrating. If they are getting frequent and regular see your labor provider. You have probaly had your babe by now, good luck.
When will you go into labor if you are 35 weeks and 6 days pregnant and dilated 4 cm and having mild cramps?
Answer I canot tell without a crystal ball, which I do not own. Normal geststion is 40 weeks, you really don't want to have your baby early even though everyone …is very tired of being pregnant by this stage of pregnancy. The last four weeks of your pregnancy may be the longest month of your life! Be patient and don't do anyhting to try to "induce" labor, nature has it all figured out and usually the baby will come when it is supposed to. Generally between 38 and 42 weeks.
When you are 37 weeks pregnant how soon can active labor start when you are 1 cm dilated and effaced 90 percent?
Theoretically, as long as you are past the point where the fetus is viable, active labor can begin any time in any pregnancy, no matter how much you are dilated or effaced. Th…is means you could go into active labor in four minutes, four days, four weeks, etc. There's really no way to tell.
You are 37.5 weeks 2 cm dilated and 80 effaced I had horrible low back pain for 4 hours straight today but then has gone away and comes back sporadically does that mean labor should be soon?
From 37 weeks on you could go into labor at any time. Well you can before that however it is more common after 37 weeks, well even more so is 38 weeks plus. Being 2cm di…lated and 80% effaced can mean that labor will be soon however it can mean that you still have a while. My first was 36 weeks and 5 cm dilated and 50% effaced and stayed that way for 4 weeks and went over her EDD. I'm 37 weeks and my doctor does not even want to check because she said that it really does not make any difference.
i had some fluid leak at 32 weeks and went to hospital. the doc said my cervix was long and soft. a soft cervix does not mean labour is on the way, sorry to disappoint!!… i am now 35 weeks and baby still in there! unfortunately all labours vary, some women can dilate very quickly and others could take over a week! with my first (this is my second) i had no symptoms on the day, by late night i had some backache, after an hour of back pain i was taken to hospital and told i was fully dilated! i was 37 weeks. my friend was 1cm dilated for 3 days and her entire labour lasted over a week, dilating slowly and painfully everyday or so. with my second baby tho, the head descended quite painfully at 30 weeks and i have been 3/5 engaged since then with a soft and long cervix. this means the cervix is thick - no sign of labour or dilation. walking definitely helps baby move down and ease your labour pains as well as occupy you in labour. sex is also a great way to help baby descend further, the semen ripens the cervix and helps dilation and your own orgasm helps encourage baby to move down. Castor oil is meant to help but can give you the runs and may pass through the placenta so imagine what it does to baby. in my opinion, curry, pineapple and raspberry tea are old wives tails!!
I will be 38 weeks pregnant in 2 days. The doctor said that I was already dilated to 3 and that I wouldn't probably go until my induction date of the 21st (39 weeks) but I tri…ed the castor oil thing and it was really weird not to say one of the nastiest things I've ever swallowed in my life. i first tried 2 tablespoons, then the next day i tried 4 tablespoons, the next day i drank 4 ounces of the stuff, and I got nothing at all. No labor pains, no contractions, no nothing. I think that I is pure coincidence if someone goes into labor after drinking castor oil. If your body is not ready, then it won't do anything but put a bad taste in your mouth. Your baby will come when he/she is ready, the longer you wait, the more of the chance is, your baby will be happy and healthy. So if drinking over a half bottle didn't make me go into labor, i don't think it will do any good to even try it. Your baby will come when it's ready. BE Patient! and good luck :)
Actually you are in the Latent phase of labor.
They say having sex helps , a lot of walking helps. you can talk to your Dr. he/she can set up a date to induce.
According to my doctor this is just your body preparing to give birth - the cramping could be helping the baby to descend lower into your pelvis, and helping your cervix to ke…ep dilating. I am 39 weeks also, 1 cm dilated as of yesterday, and having the same symptoms. If they get progressively stronger, your water breaks, or you begin getting distinct contractions that are coming at a regular interval, go get checked. Otherwise be happy that your body is doing some of the work it needs to with just minor cramping - much better than having to make all this progress in labor! Good luck to you - we're almost there!
nipple stimulation, walking, sucking your thumb (it hits a pressure point at the roof of your mouth... all of these stimulate contractions.. Congratulations!!!
If you are 4 cm dilated and 85 percent effaced and have starting having false labor how long until you go into true labor?
It totally depends! If you think you are going into labor, call your doctor or just go into the hospital. They will be able to tell you. I was 3 cm dilated for weeks a…nd weeks! I got up to 70% effaced by 38 weeks. I went into labor and went into the hospital, however they sent me home because I didn't dilate past 3 cm in the entire hour I was there. 6 hours later I had my baby! So it happened very quickly for me. Pretty much RIGHT when I got home from my first trip to the hospital I started going into true and hard labor! Good Luck. :)
you have all the old wifes tales like exremely spicey food and jumping up n down on the spot ect ect...but personally i believe there is nothing you can do but sit and wait! m…ake sure everything is just perfect for your little baby coming and go through your hospital bag 10x or more to make sure u have everything like i did! hehe! Good luck for when it does happen and i wish you and your family all he happiness in the world :)
no, I am 37w 2 days and I'm 80% effaced and 1 cm and they don't think I'll go into actually labor for at least another week if not more. your contractions are just getting you…r cervix ready for actual labor.
You are almost 39 weeks pregnant and at your last dr appt you were 1 and a half cm dilated and 50 percent effaced now you are having really bad period like cramps could you be starting labor?
yes. labor to me felt just like period cramps. i did not even recognize it was labor, got to the hospital 30 minutes before my daughter was born. no time for the epidura…l so i would not recommend waiting until the last minute to go to the hospital.
First of all, your baby is not ready to come out at 36 weeks and you should not be thinking about giving birth yet. Your baby is not considered "full term" until 37 weeks, bu…t even at 37 weeks, the chance of him/her ending up in the NICU from respiratory distress is quite high. The lungs are the last thing to develop in newborns and so it is important to wait until at least 38-39 weeks to give birth, if you have a choice. Most women will be disappointed to know that being dilated 1-2cm is not an indicator that labor will begin soon. You can walk around for many weeks like this, in fact.
