It is under the timing cover on the passenger side. It is driven by the timing belt.It is under the timing cover on the passenger side. It is driven by the timing belt.
In the passenger side of the engine block, above the starter. (4.8L, 5.3L, and6.0L) 4.3L is in the timing cover, behind the balancer.
You may have to take all of the pulleys off and then take the thermostat off and then take the timing cover off.

timing chain is inside the timing chain cover which is located between block and water pump. the water pump mounts to the front of timing case There is a cover that is behind the water pump... The timing chain is under that cover.
Should be a little pad on the front of the motor - passenger side - by the timing chain cover or by the passenger head. Search for "big block Chevy casting codes".... should be able to find out all about it from there.
The timing marks are located under the timing cover (passenger side of block behind the drive belt bracket. It is unneccessary to disassemble your vehicle to see them. Just simpy pull the plastic plug off the top of the timing cover. This is the spy hole where you can see the timing mark. The timing mark is very small and can easily be overlooked. The timing chain is located under the valve cover on the passenger side of the motor.
Timing chain cover is where the water pump hooks to on the very front of the engine block.
this year truck will have a mechanical fuel pump on most dodge engines it is on the passenger side of the block usually bolted to the side of the timing chain cover.
The oil sending unit is on the passenger side of the enginge block below the timing belt cover. You will need to remove the alternater and belt to service it.
