it may be an electrical problem (personal experience ground wire from engine itself came loose, vehicle just cut off and would not start again) re attached the wire and work like a charm.2 years ago and still working. check your ground wires trace them to chasis or back to batery, check your fuel injection(if so equipped) also check your ignition system.
The engine needs compression, fuel and spark to run. You are missing one of those, probably fuel. The fuel pump is probably the most common component to fail. Spray a little starting fluid into the engine air intake and try to start it. If you get a response the fuel pump is your culprit.
There are several different reasons that a Chevy truck might not be turning over. You might be out of gas, your battery might be dead, or your starter might be bad.
Check your starter.
Dead battery. Recharge it and see if it will start. If not, remove the battery and go have it tested.
Determine the problem and see if you can fix it or not. If you cannot determine what's wrong then find someone that can. A trick to starting a vehicle is to pump the gas while you turn the key in the ignition. There are a million different reasons as to why a truck won't start.
If you mean the starter will not turn over the engine, check the battery. vbd
bulbs are to small Check the fuses.
More information is needed. Does the engine turn over, but not start? Have you checked for gas and spark?
my first thought would be to check the starter . if you can tap on the starter and it starts after that..you have a bad starter .
what is wrong when the truck just turn over and want start.
Check your fuel filter
Dead battery. Recharge it and see if it will start. If not, remove the battery and go have it tested.
turn the key to the on position then pump the accelarator 3 times then turn the key off then start ur truck
my 97 doesent either solution ; turn key again.
One reason a 1993 Chevy Lumina may turn over but not start could be the battery. It may also be the spark plugs.
My 2005 aveo won't start
your engine is seized man. start looking for a new engine.
Turn engine over and observe is distributor is rotating
Two common reasons why an engine will crank over, but not start: There is no spark. There is no gasoline.
Check the starter on your truck, I had a similar problem when a power wire melted on the starter and short circuited the radio, and the dashboard lights, plus the fact that the truck would turn over but not start... pull all wires that may have melted on it away from the starter, if it starts up, that was the problem. Another possibility, the fuel pump is bad, very common for GM.
