92 Mazda 929 will start runs about 10 15 secounds then cuts off any body have any ideas cant find a repair guide any where thank for any help in advance?

My 94 929 did this after I checked the air filter..A diesel mechanic friend noticed that the air intake hose had split open at that time and had also come loose from the intake manifold. So I reattached the hose to the manifold and sealed the hose with automotive Duct Tape and the problem has disappeared. The car seemed to be flooding while it was starting and then dying and it would run as long as I held the accelerator down. I hope this helps
