Yes of course .. its even the one pictured on the cover of the 1968 Mustang brochure. One of my club buddies has a fully restored original big block Seafoam green Mustang in his garage.

You can swap a 1997 Mustang V6 into a 1968 Mustang. You will need to make several modifications to the 1968 Mustang.
The fastback and notchback windows were indentical in those years.

1968 Ford Mustangs are classic type cars. They are not going to be found on used car lots. The best places to search for these are going to be on eBay or at Auto Trader.
