∙ 10y agoPeople unfortunately believe that the leadership of Iran, such as the Ayatollahs and the President of Iran are reflections of the Iranian populace. Since these individuals are typically bellicose and advocating for violence, people assume that this must be what Iranians believe. If you actually speak to Iranians both in Iran and outside of Iran, you quickly see that the people of Iran act completely differently from the way their government would purport that they would.

∙ 9y agoNo. The Iranian people are very Westernized, educated, and amiable. Unfortunately, the government that rules over them is repressive, violent, and justifies these horrible acts by pretending to be religious.
