In the unlikely event that :

  • there is a hell
  • the Christian mythology is the correct one (no frozen hells, no grey wandering around, etc.)
  • the criteria for entry are correct (have you ever worn a linen and wool shirt? too bad!)

there has to be a strong probably in this outcome.

However, in that hanging around with a group of theists for all eternity is the option, the atheists would view heaven as worse than hell.

On the bright side in hell there is all eternity to plan for a break out. Your fellow inmates would probably want to watch to see if you succeeded do they could duplicate your efforts and wouldn't rat you out to the guards. In heaven the cadre of goody two shoes who are happy to be there would want to rat you out to avoid being blamed as well and figure that it would get brownie points from the authority figure.

For engineering atheists they have a decided advantage. Most have been assigned a question in their homework assignments a thermodynamic problem of "how could you air condition hell" and have already seen potential engineering solutions.

It depends on the religion and the hell you are referring to.

Are atheists are going to hell?

That seems unlikely.

If you are sent to purgatory are you guaranteed a place in hell?

If you are sent to purgatory, you are guaranteed a place in hell because that is where sinners wait for their fate.

In hell does man have body soul and spirit?

The first issue to decide is whether there really is a hell. Atheists say there is no heaven and no hell. Jews say there is a heaven, but there is no hell. Christians and Muslims say there is a heaven and there is a hell.If in fact there is a hell, those who go there can not have thir earthly bodies, because we know without doubt that they stay in the grave.

What happens to people after they die if they did not believe in the correct religion - for example if Christianity is true are atheists reborn or do they go to heaven or hell?

It all depends on the religion. Christians believe that if you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your lord and savior and given your heart over to Him, and been baptized, you go to Hell when you die.

In which religions are Atheists destined for hell?

Why would you ask that? If you're an atheist you don't believe in hell!Answer As the original poster said, atheists don't believe that there is a hell, so to ask an atheist is meaningless. However, if you ask a theist, you'll get a different answer depending on which type of theist you ask. Fundamentalists will tell you that atheists go to hell. Catholics have even worked out which level! Other theists will tell you the opposite - that it depends on if you're a good and moral person, not what you believe. That's one of the reasons why religion looks so silly to atheists: even christians cannot agree among themselves what they believe in - and within christianity, even catholics can't agree with other catholics. You can apply this to any sub-sect of any religion: they all disagree with the other sub-sects.

Where will atheists go if they do not go to heaven or hell?

It depends on how it is read:What do Atheists believe will happen to them? Most Atheists are monists, believing that a person is only their physical nature, whereas most Theists are dualists, believing that a person has both a physical nature and a spiritual component. Monists argue that the brain is the source of a person's personality and essence and, therefore, when a person dies, and the brain begins to shutdown and decompose, that is the end of that person. (This is much the same way that dualists would conceptualize the destruction of a robot.) Dualists argue that a person's personality comes from an ethereal soul which can leave the body and go to an afterlife. Atheists who are monists take the monist position, while Atheists who are dualists (most commonly Buddhist Athiests) believe in whatever afterlife their tradition teaches. What do Theists believe will happen to Atheists? This entirely depends on the religion and even on the Theist himself. Most religions argue that Atheists will go to Hell or some other place of torture, but other religions do not believe Atheism to be sinful or to warrant pain if the Atheist is a good person.

Where do atheists go to meet singles?

Where can you live for free?

Is it common Christian belief that all atheists go to hell?

Many Christians reserve the entry to heaven to those who believe their specific sectarian beliefs and in doing so consign to hell all others. Atheists, to them, would go to hell along with assorted other Christians, Hindus, Buddhists. Some waffle and say that "all good people" go to heaven. This could include atheists and other nonbeliever's, members of other religions etc. who lead good lives.(that is a LIE!!!)My Answer: All people who believe that God the Father sent Jesus Christ, His Son, to die on the cross to save all people from there sins, will go to Heaven...and all who don't believe this will go to Hell. Faith is not just believing in God, Faith is believing in God and trusting in His Promises because even the Devil and demons believe in God, but they weren't saved. The Devil, Lucifer at the time, was very high ranking in God's Kingdom before Lucifer wanted to become greater than God, Lucifer sinned and didn't repent, so God cast Lucifer out of Heaven.

Do Atheists go for a biblical role?

No. Atheists do not seek any biblical role. They have no interest in religious writings nor having any role in them.

If you are saved will you go to hell?

If you are saved, you are believed to be granted eternal life in heaven according to most religious teachings. The concept of being saved typically refers to being forgiven and accepted by a higher power, leading to a positive afterlife outcome rather than going to hell.

Who will meet you in hell?

You will meet Satan, even if you don't want to, you will have to. Then, there comes people from those religions which were "wrong" and which went astray from the path of truth. Christianity and other religions state that if you follow those religions, you are guaranteed Heaven and others are guaranteed Hell. They claim that no matter what you do, you will go to Heaven just for following them. Some religions say that every single human will go to Heaven. Even some Christians believe this latter part. Islam, on other hand, says that people who disbelieve will go to hell. Of course, that said, it means the same as the other religions claim. But Islam says that if you are a non-Muslim, you still will be saved from the Hell if you do good deeds. But it still doesn't guarantee Heaven for non-Muslims. It just guarantees that you won't go to Hell if you do good deeds. Search up what good deeds. And it says that even Muslims who will do bad deeds, will be punished in hell for certain amount of time. When I say Muslims, I mean people who die without leaving Islam (Some people do it without letting anyone else know and pretend to be Muslims). Anyway. If you want to go to hell, you will be guaranteed hell if you don't follow any religion and become an Atheist. For only religions offer Heavens and Hells. Atheist don't believe in God and heaven/hell. So, if there is God, then they are, for sure, dead meat.
