Yes, calories are used for fuel by your body. However, if you consume them in excess, the excess will turn into fat to make you overweight. One pound of fat equals 3500 calories. Because you have to eat more calories than you burn, you would have to eat 3500 extra calories over a seven-day period before gaining one lb. of fat. That equals 500 extra calories a day.
I too wondered about this question when I was young and chubby. The avearage calories for a person is 2000 calories. if you have more calories than you should or over eating it is going to be used as fat. How this works is that your body need calories for your body to work properly by burning calories as you run ,do activities , even walk. but that extra calories over 2000 limit is turned into fat because we didnt use it. But if you keep track of calories you will be on the road to skinny or regular I do advise to excersise yourself everyday pushing yourself to gain muscle. Now muscle is the type of effect you want not fat. Just to make this sound easier
Eat over 2000 gain weight
Hoped this helped!
If you eat more then the recommended calories then you will gain weight.
If you eat less then the recommended calories then you will lose weight. So actually calories dont make you fat, what makes you fat is the amount of calories you are eating.
If you surpass your daily caloric intake for your body, then you'll begin to gain weight. There are 3500 calories in a pound. If what you eat adds up to more than what you need, you'll begin to gain weight and body fat.
Not really, calories are not a good or bad thing, they are just how much energy is stored in a foodstuff.
There are 9 calories per 1 gram of fat. If a food product contains 10 grams of fat, there would be 90 calories contributing to the total caloric intake.
it is not bad to burn calories because if you do it is good but if you don't burn any than the leftover calories will turn into fat
No fat calories are a proportion of how many fat calories are in the total calorie count. So on the label of some food, if it says 100 calories, 50 fat calories, that means there are 100 calories, but 50 of them are from fat.
There are no fat calories but 2 calories altogether!
324 fat calories.Take grms of fat, multiply by 9 to get fat calories.
3500 calories are in pound of fat. 3500 calories are in pound of fat.
Either you must exercise to burn the extra calories, or it will turn into fat.

Regular calories are better. You need calories to survive, you don't need that much fat (consumed fat, that is) to live.
There are 9 calories per gram of fat. So 20 grams of fat would be 180 (9 x 20) calories from fat... or 45% of the calories are from fat.
