When you tune strings or look at a tab, you start with the fattest string. If you're right handed, (strumming with your right, fingering with your left) it should be closest to you.

A site that teaches people how to play guitar will help one to learn the different strings of a guitar as well as which strings play which notes. Another option is to purchase a book from retailers like Hastings that will help with beginners at guitars.

Can I use regular guitar strings on a child's 30 inch guitar?

Yes you can, however it is not recommended. Due to the greater stress placed on the neck, the guitar will warp. If you use nylon strings, it will help prevent this stress. If you are concerned about the stress, or safety, I would recommend purchasing a learner guitar from a music store.

Is Guitar Hero similar to playing real Guitar?

No not really. It does NOT teach you at all to play the guitar in any way, real guitars have strings and you have to press down on different strings and strum on different strings, on guitar hero press buttons and flip switches, that's all No, I'm trying to learn how to play real guitar, and guitar hero is not helping me. No it doesn't help you at all if you wanna get faster at it play more often and if you don't know what a hammer on is look it up so don't waste your time trying No not at all. it is completely different from a guitar. No, not even nearly. a guitar hero controller is basically like pressing coloured buttons while moving a switch

My guitar is making vibrations with the neck and sounds horrible because the strings are too loose on drop tunings?

If the strings are hitting the frets and making noise that means that either your action is too low on the instrument or the tension of the strings might be too low. The easiest thing to do would be to try another set of strings with the higher tension. If that does not help, you have to take your guitar to a repair shop and they can adjust the action (easier done for electric than for classical guitars).

What do you need to make a guitar loud?

You just need to use a guitar pic in a correct way to make your guitar sound loud. Prefer the sharp side of pic and try to hit strings at a greater angle say 75 degrees while playing guitar. I can assure you this will help.

How is the electric guitar played?

press down on the strings very hard until you get a different sound than say hitting the strings with one hand on the guitar. That is called fretting a note. there are pictures on the neck of the guitar to help you , on a dot inlay guitar they represent 3, 5 ,7, 9. 12 ...ect. Learn guitar tabliture and a few scales and you'll be able to take over the world.
