Best Answer

not officially no. But several cargo ships heading for Malta from Tripoli do take one or 2 passengers with cars. It may take time to find a ship willing to take you and the chances are higher with Libyan ships.

Why did the Knights of Malta went from Sicily to Malta in 1522?

The Knights went to Malta in 1530 (not in 1522). In 1522 they were located on the island of Rhodes (having settled there in 1309) however during such year they were invaded and defeated by the Ottomans. They were allowed to leave and, following seven years of wandering in Europe, finally Charles V of Spain gave them - in 1530 - the North African port of Tripoli and the Maltese Islands (in which they settled).
