There is nothing 'unhealthy' about vanilla wafers. "Healthy" has become a less than scientific term. Some would say that the wafers offer little real nutrients and have a lot of 'empty calories'. There is no such thing as empty calories. If your body needs energy, sugar is great. If your body does not need calories, don't eat. If that seems simplistic, it is, but I am pro human - unlike many 'food terrorists' (a term coined by Julia Child). There is over eating, there is eating a diet that is not balanced to give you the calories, nutrients, fiber, etc. that you need, there is under eating when you have people wasting away. No one food is really 'unhealthy' or 'healthy' without a look at your overall diet and activity level. Study deeper than 'healthy', research what your body needs.
