∙ 15y agoIf you're referring to the articles about this theory of blue eyed men preferring blue eyed women - it really is a crass generalisation. As a woman with lovely brown eyes - I can tell you the vast majority of men I've been romantically involved with have had blue eyes and have loved my more Latin apearence! My Grandfather was a strapping Dane with piercing blue eyes who married my Grandmother a very Arabic looking petite woman, and we all inherited her eye colour. Perhaps brown eyed women with recessive blue eye genes seek out males with blue eyes, so their babies might have lighter eyes? I really don't think it's that straightforward though - I think more often that not brunnette/dark eyes are attracted to their opposite - fair hair/light eyes - just my personal obversation:-)

∙ 14y agoYes, Brown eyes are a dominant trait. However, people with brown eyes can still carry a blue eyed gene. To make it simple, if a brown eyed person is carrying a blue eyed gene, it would be represented by B (brown), b (blue). Since blue eyes are the receissive gene, a blue eyed person would need both blue genes and be represented by b (blue) b (blue). There would be a 50% chance of a blue eyed offspring.
