A convicted felon can get a CDL (but they can't get a hazmat endorsement). However, they would be best advised to ensure that they've found employers who would be willing to h…ire them once they obtained a CDL.
Yes Added: There is no prohibition in the law to your getting one. The felony conviction, however, will prevent you from being able to obtain a hazardous materials endorse…ment, and may prevent you from driving a bus with children depending on the type of conviction.
Yes. Unless, of course, the offense for which he was convicted was driving related and his license was revoked AND no driving is a condition of his release.
Nope. Get rid of it.
While he is serving his sentence in prison, of course if he/she cannot renew via mail. But unless the surrender of his/her drivers license was ordered by the judge as part of …his sentencing, he/she will be eligible for one pending his completion of their conviction's terms. Actually in most states just like Military personnel. The drivers license may be renewed via mail for incarcerated individuals. Those with severe medical problems as well as those out of the country unable to reach their local US DMV. A perfect example as well as downloadable forms can be obtained for Connecticut residents at their DMV's Website. http://www.ct.gov/dmv/cwp/view.asp?a=805&Q=244790&dmvPNavCtr=|28077|#28084 Similar links may be found by going to your state's DMV website as well.
Yes they can get a drivers license
yes you can but you"ll have to appear in front of your city's liquor commission and the il state liquor commission and attest to your rehabiliation. needless to say it'd be he…lpful if you were off parole for several years. going in with written character references from upstanding citizens would be a good idea as well. *The Illinois Liquor Control Act prohibits the issuance of a liquor license to persons who have been convicted of a felony and some types of misdemeanors. All liquor license applicants are required to undergo a police background check. Your case manager will schedule an appointment for the business owner(s) and officers to meet with a police officer. During this meeting, each person who owns 5% or more interest in the business will be fingerprinted. The corporate officers, authorized manager, and any other person loaning or giving more than 10% interest in the business will also be fingerprinted. Spouses of owners with a 5% or greater share of the business are required to submit a completed Spousal Affidavit. The police may also conduct an interview with the license applicants
