Any electrical device if used improperly can cause a house fire. This has happened a few times when people were popping corn using a paper bag, oil, and closed the bag with a metal core twist tie. The twist tie ignited the oil soaked paper bag, when the user panicked and opened the microwave door the burning oil flared up and ignited materials in the kitchen causing a house fire.
no unless you want to start a fire

Not for the microwave.
get a fire extinguisher ASAP and spray EVERYWHERE in microwave till your positive its out
Well that is not the best idea because 1 you would start you cloths on fire 2 you would set you microwave on fire But it would kill the bedbugs if they both items burst into flames!

I just had whole sweet potatoes catch on fire while using the potato setting. My house was FILLED with smoke..the potatoes were flaming and my microwave is ruined. I am now contending with the residual smell. BEWARE.
If you mean fixing toast in a microwave then never use tinfoil in a microwave unit or you will start a fire. Use the mirro product to fix it. All metal must be kept out of a microwave unit when it is on.
Because they are stupid. If you microwave tampons they will catch on fire.
