Your wages cannot be garnished for a payday loan in Maryland. Maryland has outlawed payday loans. They are unenforceable. The lenders will threaten you with garnishment, but they are powerless. They are simply trying to scare you into paying them. A legitimate collector would have to sue you in court for a judgement to get a garnishment.
