But I've never heard of anything saying you can't give blood before a tattoo. Go give blood!

∙ 16y agoyes a tattoo is puncturing your skin and it will bleed....it will also scab over but DO NOT pick at it because the color will fade and make sure that you do not put any scented lotion or cream on it. this will also fade the color....your best guess is neosporin

∙ 14y agoYes, there is some bleeding involved. That's why it's important to only go to reputable, licensed tattoo shops to get ink. They're required to sterilized their equipment just like in a doctor's office. Because of the risk of transmission of blood-borne pathogens such as HIV and hepatitis, always make sure your tattoo artist is using clean, sterile equipment.
