No because neither of them can really prove that the other is wrong. Atheists say that a higher power can be disproved just as easily as Theists say that a higher power can be proved to exist.

Atheists usually rely on facts and reason to state their position. Theists generally fall back on fallacious arguments. In an argument about the existence of something the proponent has to prove it, the opposite view does not have to prove the nonexistence of the position. This is demonstrated in Carl Sagan's example of discussing the presence of a dragon in his neighbours garage.
