Not all, a simplified form of written Chinese is most common
Most of Chinese could read it perfectly, but not writing them.
No that's why simplified was made and also they got too lazy to write traditional. On reading I don't know because I have friends from china and they are not able to read at all.
Because some words in traditional has more lines and nowadays some written characters hasn't changed at all...
