If you saved any files on the SD card after you formatted it, you have almost no chance to restore something. If you used low level formatting don't even try to restore there is no old information anymore.

∙ 14y agoyou can't get the files unless you have a memory stick! ~sorry~ if you don't have a memory stick you should think about going out to the store soon and buy one. The don't cost a lot ( 5.00 to 20.00 ). The if your computer crashes again you have backup. Keep the memory stick plugged in at all time, so you can unplug it ( only if your computer crashes ) . And retrieve it on another computer. ~hopes this help~ If you do have a memory take it out and retrieve it on another computer! bye~! ~i love pugs~

Formatting won't make data on the hard drive erase permanently.These data is still stored on the hard drive, they're just invisible or inaccessible.

∙ 11y agoYes. Formatting a drive essentially means erasing it. If you have your operating system's install disk, you can put it in the disk drive and install it from there. If you don't have one, you can buy a copy of the operating system at a store such as Office Max, or "buy" one online.
