Most definitly. I had a salt water system installed in March of 2008. and still use my sand filterit works great. No problem at all. I use inexpensive water softener salt, 40lb bag, I try and keep a record of my system reading and keep it within the original settings that was in use when it was set up. The water is like smooth diamond. Crystal clear. The only thing I had to do was backwash to clear out the pollen and leaves. After that I added salt, about 2 bags, after I shut the generator off for about 24hrs. Then turning it on and checking the readings. WoW This is a great thing. Less work and more Play. Let me know how you come out. Enjoy.
Sand filters require adding chemicals to the pool as needed. Sun, rain, and the number of people using the pool all have a direct impact on the pools water quality. It's a on going battle to keep the water quality in a suitable range. A salt water chlorine generator (CG) makes it own chlorine. Once the proper amount of salt is added (25lbs per 1000gal) of water your done. Sun, rain, and people don't have a direct impact on it. Only when spillage or lower water level and adding make up water do you half to ad more salt. Top off water as it is called then you will add (40lbs) of salt. In conclusion a Salt Generator is a no brainer. It cheaper, it takes care of itself with very little maintenance. And best of all the water is Crystal clear. Hope this will shed some light and save you some money. R.B.
Is a sand filter system or a saltwater filter system for above ground pools?
sand
Yes.
Give it a name.
Absolutely. Even Intex the supplier to Walmart and toy stores sell a chlorine generator. Pool & Spa
That's an awful lot of salt to put on one lawn suggest you dump it down the sewerage.
Hi,We've got a 15 foot above ground KD pool that we use with a Chlorease system. We have some issues with the chlorine getting too high when the solar cover stays on. We solved this by running the system on a timer--but overall it works great.BizA saltwater pool is a still a chlorine pool these pools are set with an electronic system that converts part of the salt usually sodium chloride into chlorine. Magnesium chloridewith potassium chloride is used in a similar system.
NO All chlorines are made from Salt any way.
a part above the ground
no it's an underground train system
you have to buy a saltwater generator from a pool store or intex, then I use water softening salt i got mine at home depot it takes about 4 days for it to dissolve with your pump running constantly then turn your generator on that's all you have to do i love my saltwater pool
The forks should be 1 foot above ground
According to Building Control Regulations, the DPC should be a minimum of 150mm above external finished ground level.
Absolutely. Many people excacate and then place an above ground pool into the hole such that a foot or two stays above ground. Also make sure you either have clearance for your filter system or run the line into the ground and up to the filter as well.
