A volcanic eruption could end the world!
If it creates a thick ash cloud covering the atmosphere of earth it would block sunlight it would kill crops which would mean no FOOD!
But I'm sure we would survive because science has advanced a lot :D
When the magma chamber is no longer pressurised. Note, this does not mean that the magma chamber can not refill and cause another eruption later. Thus there is a difference between the termination of an eruption and a volcano becoming extinct (ceasing to have any more eruptions ever).
Volcanic Explosivity IndexYou measure a volcanic eruption by the Volcanic Explosivity Index. The largest eruption in recorded history is the eruption of Mount Tambora in 1815. This eruption measured a 7, or super-colossal, on the VEI. This eruption ejected so much material in the atmosphere that it resulted in the Year Without a Summer in 1816. Lake TobaThe last super volcanic eruption was Lake Toba approximately 73,000 years ago. This eruption is theorized to have caused a worldwide catastrophe.
possibly
april 5, 1815
Volcano eruptions are amazing process that don't begin and end in one day. The activity that led to the eruptions actually started at the end of 2009. A first volcanic eruption occurred on March 20, 2010. The eruption that led to the travel disruptions across Europe and beyond occurred on April 14, 2010. After that, there were still more eruptions. A volcano erupts because it sits on top of tectonic plates which move apart, causing the pressure to build up below and eventually erupt.
A Volcanic Eruption
eruptions end when most of the pressure contained within a volcano has been expelled either by gaseous material, ash or lava.
When the magma chamber is no longer pressurised. Note, this does not mean that the magma chamber can not refill and cause another eruption later. Thus there is a difference between the termination of an eruption and a volcano becoming extinct (ceasing to have any more eruptions ever).
What event brought the end of the Mesozoic Era? A.a minor earthquakeB.the evolution of bacteriaC.a global mass extinctionD.one volcanic eruption

November 8 1898 eruptionReports of eruptions in the Ruby Mountain area about 80 km south of Gladys Lake, near the end of the 19th century. Miners working in the area were able to work during the dark nights, due to the glow of the eruption. There have been no evidence of the eruption found in the region, however, the volcanic activity in the region is young enough to have been the site of an historical eruption, although the 19th century report of the eruption is not yet known.
yes it could. if there was a powerful enough leader out there they could deffinitley "end the world" by creating world domination :)
I have the firm belief that this world will end but it won't be in 2012.
There might not be a next generation. The world is gonna end in 2012. The world could end anytime- it could end today or tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It could
It is not known how or when the world will end, but it is unlikely that a hurricane could bring about doomsday.
The end of the world is all up to God. It could end any second...It just depends on when God wants to have the world end.
