well, i just got out of the hospital for a severe kidney infection... and no, you really shouldn't drink alcahol while haveing a kidney infection, ive done lots of research cause i was freaked when i found out how bad mine was. the alcahol can cause the infection to worsen, they tell you to drink cranberry juice because it does not alow to baciria to stick to the walls of the kidney, alcahol will do the oposite, so stay clear of the drink till your all healed up is my advice:)

Alcohol can absolutely cause kidney pain. It is likely the body's way of letting a person know that they have consumed too much and need to stop. Also, alcohol can aggravate kidneys that have stones in them.

Firstly, dialysis is used for the functioning of an unfunctioning kidney. So, if your kidney is damaged and if you drink alcohol it will affect you very badly or even in few cases death can or may occur. Look there are three stages of kidney disease, so its totally upon the doctor incharge of you. But according to me it is strictly not recommended.
