No one really DESERVES to die. But Charles I was executed for the following reasons;
There are several other reasons- but I'm not going to do your homework!
Some may argue that Charles I should have been imprisoned- which is foolish, because Charles I was imprisoned during the first Civil War, but escaped within a few days. If he did it once, he could do it again.
Yes because he refused to listen to parliament and ruled without one for 11 years. Also the was nearly broke because of him so he started issuing ship tax even to people who didn't live by the sea or have a ship. He tried to arrest some of the MP's in parliament because he was thought they were a threat to him.
This is a very interesting question, the answer in reality is no. Charles unfortunately had a very stubborn Parliament which was extremely radical in thinking, they requested from the King things of which no Parliament had ever requested of a King before, and so Charles responded by simply not calling Parliament after 1629 because between 1625-29 whenever he did they refused to budge on issues of which according to the english constitution (which is every law in england ever set forth previous to that period in time) was not within the House of Common's prerogative to discuss. So no, he should not have been executed, seeing as england went right back to a Monarchy after the civil war it was clearly an unnecessary dealing which happened because some people with a little bit of power aspired to be greater than they were capable of being. The whole situation was very reminiscent of what happened to Louis XVI almost one hundred years later.
