Yes he said that
I think that's horrible.
Added: However, this could never happen without the consent of the states. Education is handled on the state level, not the Federal level. This goes back to the idea of Federalism (main question being, how much power does the Federal Government have over individual states' governments?).
Now, some of you may ask, "What about No Child Left Behind of 2001?" The only way that the Federal Government got the states to follow this is to promise FUNDING to the schools, IF they met the standards set forth by the NCLB committee. In this way, the government found a sort of "loophole" in the system. They can get the states' education departments to follow the NCLB by giving and withholding money to each state or school. Don't meet the AYP, you don't get the funding.
What you just said is right the consent of the state, district, and school would be needed. Unless of course the secretary of education did something to convince the schools to do so.
No, he is NOT
Obama is going to make changes that everybody that does not have a job get a job and more money will be recieved He's going to make it where the only students that receive student loans will have to go through the government to get it. I don't know about the above, but he is pushing for a National Health Care plan. He is going to make school days longer and school hours longer.
This has not happened yet, but many people think it should, US schools are well below par compared to their counter parts in Canada and in Europe especially. there is almost a 25% drop-out rate in h ighschools alone, this is unacceptable.
Get over him! Have a few good last days
it really depends... ... ...
How many more days is obama in office
That Darry really does love him. My source?: had a quiz @ school a couple days ago
While it's always fun to get out of school for a day or more, any days missed in most, if not all, states in the United States have to be made up. Usually, that means going to school later at the end of the year or on days school was scheduled to be out. It's not really worth it to get out days that are not scheduled. If you want to get a school closed permanently, you will have to go to another school, so that is not beneficial unless there is a reason the school should be permanently closed. In that case, presenting your reasons to the school board in a written letter would be the first step.
...Really? Without counting holidays, it's 313 days.
Barack Obama
1,095 days
You're going to experience bad days with a toilet.
