They thought it was unsinkable.
they called it that because back in its day it was an amazingly advanced ship and the designers declared it unsinkable themselves
unsinkable
Because people thought the titanic was unsinkable
Andrew Donkin wrote the Unsinkable Titanic
Because they thought the Titanic was truly unsinkable.
The people who built it never claimed it was, it was the press & they said it was "nearly" unsinkable....but people took it as unsinkable & the safest ship in the world
it was a very big ship and people thought it was unsinkable it was a very big ship and people thought it was unsinkable
The story of Titanic being called unsinkable is a myth. It was only referred to as unsinkable after it sunk.
That it was unsinkable.
The White Star Line advertised the Titanic as unsinkable when reality it was not.
The builders of the Titanic never actually said that the Ship was 'unsinkable'. It was just people's interpretations of the articles written about it. Quite simply, any ship can sink really. There is no such thing as 'unsinkable' :) too many compartment's filled up with water, it was only able to have four compartment's full and no more.
