A version of "The Locomotion" erroneously attributed to the Beach Boys was actually recorded in 1974 by Flint, Michigan rock band Grand Funk Railroad. One need only to listen to "Bad Time (to be in Love)" by Grand Funk [http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=_EFwZq6yrJA&feature=related] to realize that indeed, "Locomotion" was by them, and not the Beach Boys. Mike Love of The Beach Boys and Dean Torrance of Jan and Dean did recoed a version of the Locomotion in the early 1980's on an album called 'Mike and Dean.' It's a covers album of surf and pop hits from the 60's and 70's.
