Today it seems that only about 40% of the American population actually value education, as compared to the 60% that seem not to care either way.
As an employer of American people, I have found the education system to be sorely lacking in the USA.
There are companies out there who are paid to test candidates and it doesn't matter if you have a PhD or not. No company is going to hire you until you are tested. Then you are put on a probation period to see if you actually can do something to help the company prosper.
The world does not owe people a living who do not want to work and participate in the economy.
The universities are passing people who are incompetent and just put in the time. I don't consider majoring in beer drinking and parties as acriteriafor a degree.
